Kia India launched the Kia Syros EV on July 23, 2026. One among its rivals in the Indian market is the MG Windsor EV. In terms of length, width, and height, Kia’s electric car is 45 mm and 7 mm smaller than the MG vehicle, respectively, and its wheelbase is 150 mm shorter. Its boot space is also 169 liters less than that of its competitor, and its wheel size is one inch smaller. However, the Kia car surpasses its rival in one aspect: the 16-liter ‘frunk’, which is commonly referred to as a front storage compartment that helps in carrying small items conventionally.

The battery capacity of the MG car is 1.5 kWh higher than that of the Kia car; yet, under ARAI test conditions, the Kia offers a range that is 77 km greater than the MG on a full charge.
Both support AC charging with similar capacities, but the Kia takes 2.5 hours less time than the MG to charge from 10% to 100%. Both the Kia and the MG electric vehicle are equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with a single-speed automatic transmission on the front axle; however, the Kia’s motor generates 36 hp more power than the MG’s, and its torque output is also 55 Nm higher than that of its competitor.
Regarding the 0-100 km/h acceleration time, the Kia electric vehicle is 1.3 seconds faster than the MG e-car; however, in terms of top speed, the MG is 3 km/h faster than the Kia car.

- If your budget is around ₹20 lakh and you are looking for an electric car with better range, the Kia model is the better choice for you; it takes less time to charge and offers a longer range compared to the MG.
- It is worth noting that both are 5-seater electric cars; however, if you are looking for a spacious cabin, you can opt for the MG model, as it offers better legroom and headroom for second-row passengers, making long-distance travel more comfortable.
