In terms of length, width, and height, Kia’s electric car is 45 mm and 7 mm smaller than the MG vehicle, respectively, and its wheelbase is 150 mm shorter. The battery capacity of the MG car is 1.5 kWh higher than that of the Kia car; yet, under ARAI test conditions, the Kia offers a range that is 77 km greater than the MG on a full charge.

Both support AC charging with similar capacities, but the Kia takes 2.5 hours less time than the MG to charge from 10% to 100%. Regarding DC charging, the Kia supports a charger that is 40 kW more powerful than the MG’s; consequently, it takes just 39 minutes to charge from 10-80%, compared to the 50 minutes the MG takes for 20-80%.

Both the Kia and the MG electric vehicle are equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with a single-speed automatic transmission on the front axle; however, the Kia’s motor generates 36 hp more power than the MG’s, and its torque output is also 55 Nm higher than that of its competitor.
