SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile started pre-sales for the Wuling Yangguang Pro, a fully electric light commercial van, on July 10, 2026, and now they have confirmed that they will launch this vehicle on July 31, 2026. They haven’t yet disclosed the price; it is expected to be available for sale in the Chinese market with the price range of 90,000 yuan, which translates to 12.83 lakh rupees.
Get a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission, which generates the maximum power of 150 kW (201 hp) and peak torque of 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). The electric motor is available on the rear axle featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain; it is mated with a single-speed automatic transmission. It reaches a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
Under the floor, it is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, whose capacity is still undisclosed. The range is 318 km for the passenger van, 365 km for the customized panel van, which is co-developed with CATL Ningde Tianxing, 380 km for the panel van, and 405 km for the passenger van and 9-seater commercial van. Reportedly, it supports 2C charging, which takes 20 minutes for 30 to 80 percent charging.
The length, width, and height of the Yangguang Pro are 5,495 mm, 1,999 mm, and 2,170 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 3,450 mm, front track is 1,740 mm, rear track is 1,730 mm, approach angle is 22°, and departure angle is 20°. Sits on 16-inch alloy wheels, which have 215/75 tires. Penal vans and customized penal vans are available with a seating capacity of 2, a passenger van with 6 people, and the only commercial van with 9 people.

It features a cargo volume of around 9 m³ and a payload capacity of 1,330 kg. Notably, it has a flat cargo floor, which makes it easier to slide boxes, pallets, trolleys, and other cargo in and out; a lower loading height helps in reducing physical strain, speeding up deliveries, and handling bulky luggage conventionally; and a wider rear door opening helps with easily loading and unloading oversized packages, furniture, and appliances.
It has a large body-colored enclosed grille with a Wuling logo below the hood, vertically stacked LED headlights with integrated daylight running light and high and low beams, and lower air intakes to keep the battery pack and electric motor cool at the front end. Other notable features on the exterior are A-pillar-mounted outside rear-view mirrors, mechanical handles for the door, vertical-shaped LED taillamps, and a side-opening rear door.
Inside, it has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel under which there’s a fully digital instrument cluster that shows all driving data. The center of the dashboard gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Bluetooth connectivity. The cabin also has a wireless smartphone charging pad, air conditioning with a high-efficiency PM2.5 air filter, and 12 cabin storage compartments.
The Wuling Yangguang, a battery-electric light commercial vehicle, is available for sale in the Chinese market with the price between 69,800 yuan and 129,800 yuan, which translates to ₹9.96 lakh and ₹18.52 lakh, respectively. It comes with three different seating configurations, which are two-seater, six-seater, and nine-seater, which have a cargo volume of up to 6.5 m³.
The standard one is available in three two-seater, three six-seater, and two nine-seater variants. Notably, all get a PMSM with a 1-speed automatic gearbox on the rear axle featuring a RWD drivetrain. The power output of the first three is 75 kW (101 hp), and of the last five is 100 kW (134 hp). Equipped with three different battery packs, which are 41.9 kWh, 43.5 kWh, and 56.2 kWh, whose CLTC range is between 300 km and 440 km.
