In the Indian market, many electric motor models are available for sale that have lower seat features, better stance, and improved performance. The top 5 among them are Ola S1 X, Ather Rizta, Vida V2, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak. Let’s have a closer look at each of these electric two-wheelers.
Ola S1 X

The Ola S1 X is available with three different battery packs that are 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh, all equipped with a mid-drive IPM electric motor that generates a peak power of 7 kW. It features a single-speed automatic transmission and belt-drive drivetrain. The IDC range is 108 km, top speed is 101 km/h, and 0 to 40 km/h acceleration timing is 3.4 seconds for 2 kW; the same for 3 kWh is 176 km, 115 km/h, and 3.0 seconds; and for 4 kWh, it is 242 km, 123 km/h, and 3.0 seconds.
All three variants are available with three different driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. They also feature reverse mode, which helps in parking it easily. The length, width, and height are 1,900 mm, 820 mm, and 1,272 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 1,359 mm, seat height is 791 mm, and ground clearance is 160 mm. Ather Rizta

The Ather Rizta is available in two variants: the S and Z. Each has two different lithium-ion battery packs that are 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh, giving an IDC range of 123 km and 159 km, respectively. They are equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, which puts out the peak power and torque of 4.3 kW and 22 Nm, respectively. Its transmission is also a one-speed automatic, and the drivetrain is chain-drive.
The acceleration timing for 0 to 40 km/h is 4.7 seconds, and the top speed is 80 km/h. It features a gradeability of 15°. Available with two different driving modes: smart eco and zip. It is 1,850 mm longer, 750 mm wider, and 1,140 mm taller. Its wheelbase, ground clearance, seat height, kerb weight, and under-seat storage are 1,285 mm, 150 mm, 780 mm, and 34 liters, respectively.
Vida V2

The Vida V2 is available in two variants, the Pro and the Plus, which are equipped with 3.44 kWh and 3.94 kWh, respectively. It is also equipped with the PMSM, whose power output is 6 kW and peak torque is 25 Nm. The acceleration timing for 0 to 40 km/h is 4.2 seconds. The top speed is 85 km/h, and the IDC range is 143 km for Plus; for Pro, it’s 85 km/h and 165 km.
It is also available with three different driving modes: Eco, Ride, and Sport. Equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen instrument cluster featuring turn-by-turn navigation and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. TVS iQube

The TVS iQube is available for sale in the Indian market in five variants: 2.2 kWh, 3.1 kWh, 3.5 kWh, S 4.7 kWh, and ST 5.3 kWh. Features a BLDC hub motor whose peak power is 4.4 kW (5.9 hp). The IDC range is between 94 km and 212 km, the top speed range is 75 km/h to 82 km/h, and the acceleration timing for 0 to 40 km/h is 4.2 seconds.
Features two different driving modes: Eco and Power. It has a 7-inch TFT touchscreen featuring smartphone connectivity with TVS SmartXonnect. Bajaj Chetak

The Bajaj Chetak is available in five variants: C2501, 3001, 3503, 3502, and 3501. It is equipped with the BLDC hub motor, whose maximum power is 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) and peak torque is 20 Nm. Depending on the variant, it comes with a 2.5 kWh, 3 kWh, and 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives a range of 113 km, 127 km, and 151 km, respectively.
Between the handlebars, it gets a 5.5-inch TFT touchscreen supporting Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and integrating Google Maps navigation.
