Denza, the Build Your Dream premium brand, will soon launch the N8 and N8L in the Chinese market. The N8 is a five-seater, and the N8 comes with a seating capacity of six people. Both are available with two wheel size options that are 20 inch and 21 inch. The width, height, and wheelbase are 1,999 mm, 1,820 mm, and 3,075 mm, respectively. The height for the N8 and N8L is 5,150 mm and 5,200 mm, respectively.
The carmaker will introduce the model with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive and a triple-motor all-wheel-drive drivetrain. The RWD is set to be available in two different configurations that are 320 kW (429 hp) and 370 kW (496 hp), and AWD will be available with only 890 kW (1,193 hp), including 270 kW at the front axle and two 310 kW on the rear axle. Both are equipped with single-speed automatic transmission.
The RWD gets one motor in the rear, and the AWD has one front axle and two on the rear axle. Gets BYD lithium iron phosphate second-generation Blade battery under the floor, which is developed by FinDreams Battery. It supports an ultra-fast DC charger, which takes only 5 minutes for 10 to 70 percent, 10 minutes for 10 to 97 percent, and 20 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charging when the weather is too extreme, such as -30 degrees Celsius.
In terms of design, the N8 and N8L from the Denza are the same. Outside, it has a split LED headlight setup; the main headlamps are integrated with the front bumper in a vertical shape, and daylight running is available just below the hood; there are lower air intakes for cooling the battery pack and motor, a roof-mounted LIDAR sensor, a Denza logo below the hood for branding, pronounced wheel arches, and a multi-spoke steering wheel.
Other notable exterior features are a blacked-out front-door-mounted outside rear-view mirror with integrated side indicators, flush-type door handles to reduce drag and improve efficiency, blacked-out A, B, and C pillars to give a floating effect, a full-width LED taillight with the Denza logo at the center to reflect branding, a roof-integrated spoiler above the windshield, and a rear bumper-mounted side reflector.
Set to feature God Eye 5.0, an advanced driving assistant system that works with roof-mounted LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar and features navigation autopilot for city driving and highway cruising. The five-seater will have a large boot space, and the six-seater model will be a little compact but is set to be ideal for carrying the multiple pieces of luggage conventionally.
The cabins of both are set to have anticipated smart and intelligent features. The center of the dashboard features a touchscreen infotainment system supporting the over-the-air software updates, wireless multi-device connectivity, and connected car technology. Reportedly, it will feature a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, under which there’s a digital instrument cluster showing all the driving on the windshield.
As of now, there’s no word from the Chinese automobile manufacturer about when they will receive it. There’s high speculation that they will unveil it in the second half of 2026. Shortly after unveiling the model, they will start the pre-sale, and then the launch will take place. The delivery of the model is anticipated to start within four weeks of launch. Prices are still pending; the expected price for N8 and N8L is starting from 299,800 yuan.
Following the launch of the N8 and N8L, it will compete with the Aito M9, the Aito M9, and the Li i8. BYD hasn’t confirmed that they will introduce the model outside of the country. As they have already started introducing the various models to the United Kingdom under the banner Denza, they may also launch them in European countries. However, they haven’t officially confirmed it, but it is expected to happen in late 2028.
