Nissan India, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan Motor, has officially launched the Nissan Tekton, a mid-size sport utility vehicle with the Renault-Nissan CMF-B modular architecture, with a starting price of ₹10.49 lakh. They have introduced the model with two turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine options: a 1.0-litre T160 and a 1.3-litre T280.
Notably, the 1.0-litre T160 ICE is available with only a six-speed manual transmission, and the 1.3-litre T280 with both a six-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch automatic. They have officially started taking orders from July 9, 2026, with the launch, and the delivery date is officially confirmed for July 20, 2026. Its dimensions in terms of length, width, height, wheelbase, and ground clearance are 4,343 mm, 1,815 mm, 1,659 mm, 2,657 mm, and 212 mm, respectively. Features 5 people seating capacity in traditional 2-3 arrangements with a boot space behind the second row for carrying luggage.
It is available with six exterior color options that are Pearl White, Blade Silver, Sterling Grey, Stealth Black, Fiery Red, and Deep Ocean Blue. Dual-toned options are also available; they are a total of five, including the following:

Outside, it has a wide grille with multiple slats and a Nissan logo at the center; integrated headlights with short headlamps and full-width daylight running lights; Tekton lettering on the muscular bonnet; a silver skid plate beneath the bumper; bumper-integrated lower air intakes and fog lamps; A-pillar-mounted powered ORVMs with integrated blinkers; mechanical handles for the front door and a C-pillar-integrated handle for the rear door; and squared-off wheel arch cladding.
Other notable exterior features are roof-mounted rails, black-out pillars, multiple-spoke dual-tonned alloy wheels, C-shape through-type LED taillamps, full-width LED taillight on the tailgate with Nissan logo at the centre, TEKTON lettering on the tailgate, roof-integrated spoiler above the windshield with stop light, roof-mounted shark-fin antenna, and rugged bumper with silver skid plate and horizontal side reflector.
Inside, it gets a three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons and the Nissan logo, under which there’s a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster that shows all driving-related infographics, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Built-in is mounted at the center of the dashboard, supporting wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and connected car technology with OTA software updates.
The infotainment system is integrated with an eight-speaker sound system for a better audio experience inside the cabin for video and audio streaming; other notable features are:

It comes with a front-wheel-drive drivetrain, whose front and rear suspension are MacPherson strut and torsion beam axle, respectively, with coil springs. The front wheels have ventilated discs, but the rear has only discs. The 1.0-liter T160 (999 cc, 3-cylinder) ICE generates the maximum power of 99 bhp and peak torque of 160 Nm, and the 1.3-liter T280 (1,333 cc, 4-cylinder) ICE delivers the peak power and torque of 154 bhp and 250 Nm, respectively.
Notably, Nissan Tekton with the standard and powerful internal combustion engine option can reach a maximum speed of 170 kmph and 180 kmph, respectively. The fuel efficiency for the 1.0-liter T160 is 19.4 km/l, comes with only manual transmission, but the same for the 1.3-liter T280 with a manual is 17.8 km/l and with an automatic gearbox is 17.3 km/l under ARAI conditions.
