Let’s have a closer look at each of these SUVs
Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift
Mahindra & Mahindra will launch the Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift in the second half of 2026 in different variants. They are yet to reveal the price, but we can expect that it will cost between 18 and 24 lakh rupees for the diesel automatic variant. The SUV will come with a revised front grille, updated front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, and tweaked LED lighting elements.
Inside, the dashboard may get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster from its sibling, the Thar Roxx. Other expected features are a dual-pane panoramic sunroof making the cabin spacious; a 360-degree camera giving a surround view; a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos increasing the audio experience; and Level ADAS enhancing safety.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic Facelift
Mahindra & Mahindra will introduce the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Facelift in the Indian market after introducing the Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift. As of now, there’s no word from the carmaker about its pricing. We expect that it will cost ex-showroom starting from ₹14 lakh and may go up to ₹18 lakh. The launch will happen with the new front grille and alloy wheel design, the revised front bumper, and the updated lighting elements.
Reportedly, there’s no change in the powertrain. All set to get a 2.2L mHawk Turbo Diesel internal combustion engine under the hood that is mated with a five-speed manual gearbox. The ICE generates the maximum power of 130 bhp and peak torque of 300 Nm. The cabin may feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, additional USB charging ports, and an upgraded driver display.
Next-Gen Kia Seltos GTX+ and X-Line (O)
Kia will launch the next-generation Kia Seltos’ top-spec variants, GTX+ and X-Line (O), during the festive season in 2026. So, we expect that they will introduce the diesel-powered variant by late October 2026. Reportedly, their ex-showroom price will start with ₹21 lakh and go up to ₹24 lakh. Under the hood, it features a 1.5L CRDi turbo diesel internal combustion engine (ICE) that delivers the maximum power of 116 PS and peak torque of 250 Nm.
The carmaker will introduce two transmission options: a six-speed manual and a six-speed gearbox, and a single drivetrain, that is, front-wheel drive. Notably, the expected fuel efficiency for AMT is 21 kmpl, but the same for MT is only 19 kmpl. The exterior and interior of the diesel next-gen Kia Seltos are set to be the same as the petrol-powered. A few interior upgrades are expected, such as a HUD, an air purifier and a built-in dashcam.
Skoda Kodiaq Diesel
Skoda is planning to introduce the seven-seater Skoda Kodiaq Diesel in the Indian market as an alternative to the Toyota Fortuner and Jeep Meridian. They will import it as a completely built-up unit from the Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic, and it is most likely that the carmaker will launch it in India by late 2026 with an expected ex-showroom price of 55 and 63 lakh rupees.
Under the hood, it will get a 1,968 cc 2.0 L EA288 Evo turbocharged diesel engine with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, which delivers an estimated power of 190 hp and torque of 360 Nm. They will introduce a single drivetrain, that is, all-wheel drive, which is likely to take around 8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. The report says that it will feature a top speed of 220 km/h and mileage of approximately 18 km/l.
