2026 MG Majestor Launched in India at ₹40.99 Lakh: 6 & 7-Seater Full-Size SUV Takes on Fortuner
On May 27, 2026, Morris Garages launched the MG Majestor in India in two variants: 4×2 AT and 4×4 AT. The former one is available with the ex-showroom price of ₹40.99 lakh, and the latter with ₹44.99 lakh. As a full-size SUV, it is all set to compete with other three-row sport utility vehicles that are the Toyota Fortuner, the Jeep Meridian, the Volkswagen Tayron, and the Skoda Kodiaq.
Available for sale as both a six-seater and a seven-seater in configurations of 2-2-2 and 2-3-2, respectively. Behind the third-row seat, it has a boot space of 343 liters; folding the third-row seats expands the space up to 1,350 liters. It comes with an all-black ‘Smoky Ebony’ interior theme featuring leather upholstery. The driver’s seat is adjustable in 12 points with memory for convenience; both front seats feature heating and ventilation.
The six-seater gets captain seats with the sliding and reclining function, and it also has separate armrests for practicality. Both seats have a ventilation function, but not heating or massage. The cabin is equipped with a three-spoke blacked-out steering wheel, under which there’s a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that shows all the driving data; the driver display is placed in a way that one driving can see the details clearly on it.

The center of the dashboard features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for remote connectivity to stream video and play songs. To enhance the infotainment experience, the cabin gets a 12-speaker JBL premium audio system. It also features a double-glass panoramic sunroof that spreads through the third row, and it also features 3-zone climate control for ensuring better comfort for all.
At the front row, it has a dual wireless charging pad that helps in charging the mobile phone conveniently for front-seating passengers and drivers. Other notable features are 64-color ambient lighting that enhances the mood and adds a premium touch to the cabin; a PM2.5 air purifier that purifies the air entering the cabin to ensure that the occupants breathe clean air; a 360-degree camera that shows the surrounding areas; and Level 2 ADAS featuring multiple smart features for safety.
In terms of design, it looks tougher from the front-end. Upfront, it gets horizontal LED daylight running lights just below the hood on both the left and right sides of the tires. The main headlamps are also LED; they are placed below the DRLs vertically. Features a large grille giving a modern look, it even houses DRLs in vertical styling to reflect the premiumness. The hood end also has bold ‘MORRIS GARAGES’ lettering for the branding, and its bumper is muscular, giving an upright SUV stance.

The sides get 19-inch large alloy wheels and all terrain tyres with blacked-out wheel arches reflecting its off-road characteristics, mechanical door handles, a blackout window surround, and powered all-black outside rear-view mirrors with integrated side indicators; and the rear features full-width LED taillights that connect with modern tail lamps on both sides, MAJESTOR lettering on the powered tailgate, roof-integrated spoilers, and an aggregate bumper with double exhaust and a silver skid plate.
Available with four exterior color options that are pearl white, concrete grey, metal black, and metal ash. Dimensionally, it is 5,046 mm longer, 2,016 mm wider, and 1,876 mm taller. Its wheelbase is 2,950 mm, ground clearance is 219 mm, and fuel tank capacity is 75 liters. It comes with three driving modes, which are Eco, Normal, and Sport, and also features 10 different off-road configurations.
Features a 1,996cc four-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine under the hood, which is bolted with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard variant is available with rear-wheel drive, and the top-end with all-wheel drive. The power output is 215 hp, and peak torque is 479 Nm, which helps it accelerate from 12.5 seconds, and top speed goes up to 200 km/h. Its fuel efficiency in the city and highway is 8.4 kmpl and 10.8 kmpl, respectively, but in case of a mix, it is 10-12 kmpl.
