On May 22, 2026, the German carmaker Bayerische Motoren Werke launched the pre-launch booking through BMW India’s website for the BMW X6 M60i xDrive, a performance-focused coupe SUV, which is all set to be introduced in the Indian market as a completely built unit after getting discontinued back in January 2023.
They haven’t confirmed any date for the launch; reportedly, it will take place in India in June 2026, and after a month of that, the delivery may begin. The price is still pending, but some sources say that its Indian debut may happen with the ex-showroom price around 1.50 crore rupees. Once launched, it will compete with the Audi SQ8, Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe and Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
The length is 4,960 mm, the width is 2,004 mm and 2,212 mm without and with a mirror, respectively, and the height is 1,700 mm. The wheelbase is 2,975 mm, giving ample legroom for rear-seating passengers, and ground clearance is 216 mm to ensure that it can easily pass the potholes and speed breakers.

The front-end gets an illuminated gloss-black kidney grille with vertical slats giving it its unique look; adaptive LED headlamps with integrated snake-eye LED daylight running lights add a modern touch and also improve visibility for nighttime driving; and large air intakes on the bumper ensure better cooling.
In profile, it features a coupe-style sloping roofline for a floating effect, frameless door look to add premium appeal, 21-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels to improve road presence, mechanical door handles to ensure practicality, and blackout-powered outside rearview mirrors, side skirts and window trims to enhance the side view.
The slim wraparound LED taillight at the back reflects modern lighting, the gloss-black bumper adds ruggedness, the twin trapezoidal exhaust outlets improve the rear view, the integrated roof spoiler helps in keeping the car stable at high speeds, and the BMW logo on the tailgate seems connected with the powered tailgate to add brand identity.

Comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-3, having a boot space of 580 litres and a frunk of 83 litres, which helps in carrying big luggage and small items, respectively. The interior is equipped with a 14.9-inch infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay at the centre of the dashboard and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster before the driver’s seat.
The front-row seats are powered and feature heating, ventilation and massage functions, but the only driver’s seat has a memory function. Other notable features are a wireless charging pad, a large panoramic sunroof with heat protection to make it airy and spacious, double-zone climate control to enhance comfort, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, and an advanced driving assistant system suite.
Powered by a 4,395 cc 4.4-litre twin-cylinder turbocharged V8 petrol engine featuring a 48V mild-hybrid system, which is mated with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic. It features the xDrive all-wheel drive drivetrain to ensure better road grip. The maximum power output is 523 hp, and the peak torque is 750 Nm. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and its top speed is 250 km/h.
Notably, it features rear-wheel steering, which has the key feature that, at low speeds, the rear wheels move opposite to the fronts to ensure the parking happens conveniently, and when at high speeds, it moves in the same direction to ensure better stability on the road.
Braking for front and rear wheels is managed by four-piston M Sport and single-piston, respectively, and features Adaptive M Suspension and electronically controlled dampers, which automatically adjust stiffness to ensure better ride depending on the drive type that includes Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
