Lexus, a subsidiary of Japanese automaker Toyota, has launched the 2026 Lexus IS, a compact luxury sedan, in the Philippines on May 6, 2026, in three variants that are the 300h Executive, 300h Premier and 350 F Sport, whose prices are ₱3,128,000 (₹48.84 lakh), ₱3,408,000 (₹53.21 lakh) and ₱4,388,000 (₹68.51 lakh), respectively.
Powertrain, Performance & Fuel Efficiency
The 2026 Lexus IS’ 300h Executive and 300h Premier variants are available with a hybrid powertrain, which gets a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder in-line 16-valve DOHC with a VVT-i engine featuring a D-4S system and an electric motor on the rear axle; the combined power output is 223 hp, and peak torque is 300 Nm. It comes with the FWD drivetrain and E-CVT gearbox. A small nickel-metal hydride is also connected with the motor, which does not require being plugged in. To accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, it takes 8.3 seconds; top speed goes up to 200 km/h; and fuel efficiency is 19.2 km/L.
On the other hand, the third variant of the 2026 Lexus IS, the 350 F Sport, comes with the ICE powertrain. It is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 24-valve DOHC D-4S (Direct & Port Fuel Injection) engine that is bolted with an 8-speed Sport Direct-Shift automatic gearbox. The power output is 315 hp, and peak torque is 380 Nm, which makes it sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 230 km/h. Its drivetrain is also RWD, and fuel efficiency is 8 kmpl for city driving, 11 kmpl for highway cruising, and 9-10 kmpl in the case of mixed driving.
Space, Dimension & Range

All variants of the 2026 Lexus IS come with a seating capacity of 5 people in a 2-3 layout. The first two variants have a cargo space of 480 litres, and the last one has only 450 litres; however, all are capable of easily carrying 2 big pieces of luggage. The rear seats are folding across the variant; doing so expands the cargo capacity significantly to carry more luggage.
The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 4,720 mm, 1,840 mm, and 1,435 mm, respectively; its wheelbase is 2,800 mm, and ground clearance is 140 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 66 litres, meaning the first two variants have a range of 1267.2 km in ideal conditions, and the last one has 528 km, 726 km, and 554-660 km for city driving, highway cruising, and mixed driving conditions, respectively.
Features, Technology & Safety

The cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen at the centre of the dashboard for the infotainment of occupants. It acts as the control panel of the interior, as most of the settings are touch-based. The same measurement of display is also mounted under the screening wheel that shows the driving data, such as fuel, navigation, running speed, and other details.
The infotainment system supports wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The very first variant gets a 10-speaker premium audio system, but the last two have a 17-speaker Mark Levinson Surround Sound System, which ensures that the audio experience inside the cabin gives the feel of a mini theatre. For phone charging, it features a wireless charging pad at the front and a USB Type-C at both ends.
The first seats are electrically adjustable in all three variants, but only the last two get ventilation and heating functions that enhance comfort during the hot and cold weather, respectively. The cabin also features 14-colour ambient lighting that enhances the mood of occupants during the night. To ensure safety, it features 10 airbags and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 to make the driving almost autonomous and stress-free.
