Arcfox Wendao V9 EREV MPV Presale: 1,250 km Range, 7 Seats from $32,200

Arcfox is a Chinese automobile manufacturer under the BAIC Group. They started the pre-sale for the Arcfox Wendao V9, a luxury seven-seater extended-range electric multipurpose vehicle, on April 29, 2026, for the domestic market, with the price of 219,900 to 286,900 Chinese yuan, which translates to 32,200 to 42,000 in US dollars. 

The pre-order takes place with the amount of 5,000 Chinese yuan (730 dollars). The company claimed that with the start of pre-sales, they had received more than 8,000 orders within 48 hours. The launch is expected by late May 2026, and the price for the base variant may be lower compared to the price for which it is available for booking.

Powertrain & Performance 

Since the Wendao V9 is an extended-range electric vehicle, it gets a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol under the hood and an electric motor that is mounted with the rear axle, meaning the vehicle comes with the rear-wheel drive configuration. It has a single-speed automatic transmission, which is standard in the segment, and rivals come with the same. 

The engine generates the power of 118 kW (158 hp), and the motor does 227 kW (304 hp). The car is offered with two battery packs, which are 37 kWh LFP and 53.4 kWh ternary NMC. The standard one has an all-electric CLTC range of 216 km, and the same for the larger one is 315 km. Both are built on 400-volt electrical architecture, with 3C and 4C DC chargers; depending on the battery pack, it takes 15 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charging.

It takes 8.4 seconds and 7.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h with the standard and larger battery packs, respectively. The overall range of the 37 kWh LFP battery pack is 1250 km, and of the 53.4 kWh ternary NMC battery is 1130 km. The fuel efficiency with an LPF battery is 6.85 L per 100 km, and the same with a ternary NMC battery is 6.88 L per 100 km.

Exterior & Design 

In terms of dimensions, the Wendao V9 is 5300 mm in length, 1980 mm wider, and 1850 mm higher. Its wheelbase is 3200 mm. The measurements make it the largest MVP in the Chinese market among its competitors, which include the Denza D9, GAC E9, and Wey G9. It is available in a total of nine color options, including Lingyun White, Xuan Yan Black, and Cloud Mist Gray. Other color options include a double-tone body color.

In terms of design, up front it gets full-width LED DRLs in the signature ‘star ring’ style to give it a futuristic look. Features a waterfall-style grille with an illuminated logo at the center to give the car a high-tech identity. On the sides, it features sliding rear doors, a floating roof design, and a yacht-style D-pillar. The rear comes with a full-width LED taillight bar mirroring the front lighting signature, 3D lighting elements for premium feel, and a roof spoiler to reduce drag.

Interior & Technology

The Wendao V9 features a seating capacity of 7 people in a layout of 2, 2, and 3, meaning the second-row seats are captain-type to ensure more comfort with separate armrests and headrests. It comes with a boot space of 360 liters; the height can be expanded by folding down the third-row and second-row seats.

At the center of the dashboard, the cabin gets a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, which works as a central control hub; all the vehicle settings are controlled via it, as a maximum of controls are touch-based. The infotainment system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 chip and comes with Quantum Dot and Blue Mini-LED. Under the steering wheel, there is a thin digital instrument cluster that shows all the driving data. 

The second row’s both seats are zero-gravity; it comes with 16-point massage functions, heating, and ventilation. There’s also a foldable tray that the occupants may use for working or eating. For the entertainment of rear-seating passengers, there’s also a ceiling-mounted 21.4-inch screen. An inbuilt fridge of 11 liters is with temperatures from -6°C to 50°C for cooling and heating.
