2026 Renault Triber Launched: 7-Seater MPV Priced from ₹5.8 Lakh, 5 Variants

The French automaker Renault has come up with the updated version of Triber, a subcompact multi-purpose vehicle, with the starting ex-showroom prices of ₹5.8 lakh, ₹6.69 lakh, and ₹7.39 lakh for the Authentic, Evolution, and Techno variants with manual transmission, respectively.

There’s one additional variant, ‘Emotion’, which comes with two transmission options; the manual’s ex-showroom price is ₹8 lakh, and the automatic’s is ₹8.46 lakh.

The vehicle is available in three different seating layouts: a five-seater in 2-3, a six-seater in 2-2-2, and a seven-seater in 2-3-2. The six-seater and seven-seater feature a boot space of 84 litres, and the five-seater has 625 litres. By folding down the second-row seats, the boot space extends to 1065 litres, allowing you to carry up to 8 pieces of luggage.

Powertrain & Performance

The updated Triber comes with a 1.0-litre Dual VVT naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine, with a displacement of 999 cc. It generates the power of 71 bhp and torque of 96 Nm, which is ideal for city use. It comes with a front-wheel drive drivetrain and a 5-speed manual gearbox for all variants and a 5-speed AMT only for the top-end variant.

The top speed of the car is 140 km/h, which helps in highway cruising at the speed of 80-100 km/h comfortably. The acceleration timing for 0-60 km/h is 7 seconds with a manual transmission but 9 seconds with the automatic gearbox. The fuel efficiency is 17 kmpl and 20 kmpl with the automatic and manual transmissions, respectively.

Interior & Technology

2026 Renault Triber Dashboard

The Triber’s updated version features a dual-tone dashboard with silver and piano-black accents. The cabin is equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and USB. It also has a seven-inch digital instrument cluster that shows all the driving data, including the navigation and speed.

The second-row seats come with a one-click tumble function that helps with sliding, reclining, and folding to allow easy access to the third row and boot. The cabin of the car is updated by acknowledging the customer feedback, so now its interior is more aesthetic. The top trims come with some premium features such as steering-mounted audio controls and automatic climate control.

Other notable features inside the cabin are a day and night Inside Rear View Mirror (IRVM) to see traffic behind. A rear room lamp to illuminate the 2nd and 3rd rows; an armrest on the driver’s seat with height adjustment for comfortable seating; a 12V socket for charging phones, tablets, and power banks; and a multiple-speaker sound system with tweeters that improve sound clarity and music detail.

Safety Features

2026 Renault Triber Seatbelt

The 2026 Triber comes with six airbags that play a crucial role in saving lives in case of collision and also features ABS with EBD, which prevents wheel lock and distributes the braking force among all wheels for safe braking. It also features Electronic Stability Control that prevents loss of control and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System that alerts when the air pressure in the tyre is low.

While the Triber is a solid family choice, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift is another highly anticipated model in this segment.

Exterior

Up front, the updated version of the Triber gets a wide piano-black grille with the brand’s logo, and headlamps and DRLs (daylight running lights) are also integrated into the grille, giving it a modern look. The front end also features a large sculpted bumper with air dams and a chunky skid plate and fog lamps at the corners.

On the sides, the vehicle has roof rails with a load capacity of 50 kg. Features black ORVMs and traditional door handles for better practicality, and 15-inch flex-styled wheels. The rear comes with LED tail lamps with a smoked effect with a piano-black connecting strip. It gets a simple tailgate with a TRIBER letter.
