Keeway V302C Now Available in Yellow: 298cc Bobber Priced at ₹4.22 Lakh

Keeway, part of the QJ Group, has launched the V302C in a new colour option, which is yellow. With the launch, the motorcycle is now available in a total of three colours, which include red and black. The newly introduced colour option is quite attractive, as it increases visual appeal and personalisation, and is available for sale with the ex-showroom price of ₹4.22 lakh and is priced higher than the newly launched BSA Scrambler 650, which starts at ₹3.25 lakh.

Ergonomics & Dimensions

The bike features forward-set footpegs, a flat handlebar, and a forward-lean posture. The rider’s seat is well-padded and roomy, but the pillion’s is very small and thin, which makes it comfortable to go solo. Riding with a pillion is okay for short distances, but on long journeys, it may be inconvenient. The kerb weight of 167 kg is good for highway handling.

The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 2120 mm, 836 mm, and 1050 mm, respectively. It comes with a lower seat height of 680 mm, making it easy for all riders to flat-foot; a wheelbase of 1420 mm provides better stability at top speed; and ground clearance is 158 mm, making it ideal for Indian road conditions. The fuel tank capacity is only 15 litres.

Design & Body

Keeway V302C Design

Up front, the bike features a round headlamp, giving it a modern look. Its front fascia is minimalistic with a clean design. Features a chunky front tyre and forks to give a muscular road presence and bar-end mirrors to add to premium bobber styling.

On the sides, it has a low-slung bobber stance featuring the brand’s signature design. The fuel tank is in the shape of a teardrop for the premium cruising style. Features a blacked-out engine and exhaust to enhance the muscular appeal of the motorcycle.

The rear comes in bobber style with the short and clean tail; features a round tail-light for a retro-modern combination that also gives it an eye-catching appearance; and has a chopped fender design for a classic bobber aesthetic.

Features & Underpinning

The motorcycle comes with a fully digital circular instrument cluster that shows the speedometer, trip metre, fuel level, temperature, and others. All the lighting, including the headlamp, taillamp, and indicators, is LED.

It features a double downtube frame chassis, which provides good structural strength. The front suspension has upside-down forks for a sportier front-end feel, and the rear gets dual preload-adjustable shock absorbers that are tuned slightly for load.

The front wheel gets a 300 mm disc (2-piston calliper), and the rear features a 240 mm disc (1-piston calliper) as brakes with double-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Together, they provide strong stopping power and better safety under hard braking. Get alloy wheels; the front is 16 inches in size, and the rear is 15 inches.

Powertrain & Performance

The bike is equipped with a V-twin liquid-cooled, SOHC 8-valve two-cylinder engine, whose displacement is 298 cc. It features the fuel injection system, six-speed manual gearbox, assisted and slipper clutch, and belt drive function that reduces noise, maintenance, and vibration.

The engine’s power output is 29.9 PS at 8500 rpm, and torque is 26.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The acceleration timing for 0-60 km/h is 5 seconds; top speed goes up to 155 km/h. The fuel efficiency is 36 km/l for the highway and 34 for the city; with a full tank, it gives a range of 510 km to 540 km, depending on driving style.
