Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Spotted Testing: New 1.5L Engine & 6-Speed Manual Incoming

The facelift of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been spotted testing multiple times on Indian roads, and recent reports say that the launch will happen in the second quarter of 2026 with the ex-showroom price between ₹9 lakh and ₹14 lakh, depending on the variant.

The dimensions of the facelift are set to be the same as the outgoing model of the Brezza, whose length is 3995 mm, width is 1790 mm, height is 1685 mm, wheelbase is 2500 mm and ground clearance is 198 mm.

Powertrain & Performance

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift will be introduced with a 1.5-litre K15C DualJet 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, whose power output is 102 bhp and peak torque is 137 Nm; the CNG variant will also get the same engine; it will generate the power of 86 bhp and torque of 121.5 Nm.

Reports say that the options of the 1.2-litre Z-series and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines may also be introduced. The drivetrain for both the petrol and CNG variants is set to be front-wheel drive. The outgoing is available with a 5-speed manual transmission, but the facelift is expected to come with the 6-speed manual gearbox.

The fuel efficiency for the petrol variant will be around 17-20 km/l and 23-25 km/kg, depending on driving style. The top speed is expected to be around 160 km for both variants, and acceleration timing from 0 to 100 km/h for the CNG may be around 15-16 seconds, and the same for petrol is likely to be 12-13 seconds.

Interior & Technology

The facelift’s cabin is expected to get a large infotainment system compared to the outgoing model; it may replace the 9-inch touchscreen with a 10.1-inch one, which is set to support wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay and the ARKAMYS-tuned sound system for a better audio experience.

Same as the outgoing model, it will feature a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-5, and boot space is expected to be 328 litres for both variants. The existing CNG variant is available with a factory-fitted tank inside the boot space, but in the facelift it is sure to be moved beneath the floor.

It will also feature Suzuki Connect, which includes remote vehicle tracking, geo-fencing, driving analytics and Alexa, the voice assistant. The head-up display is expected to project the driving data on the screen and make the driver keep an eye on the road. Safety features like six airbags, ESP, and Hill Hold Assist are most likely to be continued.

The 360° is certainly retained, which gives a surround view for parking, and a wireless charging pad is also likely for the convenience of phone charging. The cabin may also get automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a height-adjustable driver seat and cruise control.

Push-button start and stop, and USB Type-A & Type-C ports.

Some reports say that the front seats may come with a ventilation feature to ensure comfort during the summer, and for the premiumness, the single-pane electric sunroof is expected in the high-end variant. The Level 2 ADAS is most likely in top trims, which make the driving a little autonomous.

Exterior & Design

The facelift is expected to feature a bold front grille with the company logo, dual LED projector headlamps with daylight running lights, a chunky bumper and fog lamps at the front; in profile, it is going to have 16-inch double-tone alloy wheels that improve efficiency, strong wheel arches and roof rails; and in the rear, it will feature LED tail lamps, a wide tailgate design, a skid plate for rugged appeal and bold ‘BREZZA’ badging.
