BGauss Auto, an Indian electric two-wheeler company, has officially launched the BGauss C12 MaxR, a premium family electric scooter which comes with a lithium-ion battery pack giving the ideal driving range for city riding and is equipped with the smart features and technology to ensure smooth riding experience. Let’s have a closer look at this recently launched Gauss two-wheeler EV.
3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and 750W fast charging.
The BGauss C12 MaxR is required with a 3.8 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack giving 179 km range on ARAI-certified conditions. The battery pack has an IP67 rating protection against dust and water, ensuring better durability and thermal stability.
The real-world range for these e-scooters is set to be different from one another depending on driving styl3. In ideal condition, it may run up to 150 km after each full charge. This two-wheeler EV supports a 750-watt AC charger that takes 3 hours 50 minutes for 0 to 80 per cent charging.
4.2 kW electric motor and three driving modes.
This two-wheeler EV has BGauss’ HyperZen in-wheel permanent magnet synchronous motor, meaning the PMSM is integrated into the swingarm area. The company says that the continuous power is 1.5 kW and the peak is 4.2 kW.
The acceleration timing for 0 to 40 kmph is 4.3 seconds, the best among the rivals. Its top speed is 75 kmph with the gradability of 18 degrees with ±2 degrees with the rider up to 75 kWh; when there is also a pillion, this e-scooter will struggle.
This e-scooter also has regenerative braking, and it doesn’t have any convenient gearbox; instead, it gets a single-speed automatic transmission. Three driving modes are offered; the top speed of 75 kmph is possible with Sport, but for Eco and Ride, the maximum speed is 45 km and 60 km, respectively.
Four colour options and a 1,335 mm long wheelbase.
Four colour options are available for this two-wheeler electric vehicle; among them, two are double-tone and two are monotone. The double-toned options are Sparkling Wine with Champagne Gold and Terra Green with Champagne Gold, and the monotone options are Pearl White and Satin Black.
The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 1,875 mm, 745 mm, and 1,146 mm, respectively; whose wheelbase is 1,335 mm and ground clearance is 160 mm. The length of the seat is 770 mm and the height is 768 mm. Its curb weight is 126 kg, on the lightest e-scooter in the segment, and its load capacity is 150 kg.
Smart and intelligent convenience and safety features.
The LED lighting setup is standard for this electric scooter, including headlights, taillamps and side indicators at both ends. Equipped with the reverse mode, cruise control, Remember My Mode, and Guide My Home features to enhance the riding experience.
Features a 5-inch TFT display showing all the driving data. It also supports wireless smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for turn-by-turn navigation, SMS and call notifications, ride and charging statistics, and document storage, which can be used for RC, insurances, and DL.
Other features that strengthen its positioning as a premium e-scooter are wireless smartphone charging, a USB charging port, 38-litre under-seat storage, and dedicated phone and bottle storage. For safety, it has a FallSense that cuts the motor on sending fall and Main-stand and Side-stand motor cut-off.
Adjustable rear suspension and front disc brake.
This two-wheeler EV is built on a tubular frame, whose front and rear suspension is a hydraulic telescopic fork and a 5-step adjustable Nitrox gas-charged single shock, respectively.
12-inch alloy wheels are standard on both ends, with the 90/90-12 tyres and 100/80-12 tyres. The front wheel has a 220 mm solid disc and drum at the rear with a combined braking system to ensure safe braking.

The BGauss C12 MaxR is available for sale in the Indian market with the ex-showroom price of ₹159,990. The booking has already begun through the brand’s official website, and the delivery date is not yet officially revealed; it may start shortly.
