On August 25, 2026, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launched the Rebel 300, a cruiser motorcycle, in two variants: standard and E-Clutch. The former is available for sale with an ex-showroom price of ₹2.22 lakh, and the latter with ₹2.6 lakh. The booking has officially started with the launch on the official website and also via the BigWing dealership by making a payment of ₹5,000.
The manufacturers are all set to start delivery in mid-October 2026, along with the Honda ADV160, an adventure scooter. The Rebel 300 is a premium motorcycle which HMSI will manufacture locally; this bike has a low-slung, bobber-inspired design. It has round-shaped LED headlights, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, suspension-mounted halogen blinkers, a slip-seat setup, and a handlebar-mounted rear-view mirror in a circular shape.
Its rear fender has LED taillamps and halogen blinkers on the sides, and the lower part of the mudguard has a reflector in a horizontal shape. Between the handlebars, it has a rounded TFT display that supports Honda RoadSync connectivity to show turn-by-turn navigation. It’s also helpful with the incoming or outgoing call functions, message notifications, and music playback control.
This motorcycle is built on a tubular steel frame whose front and rear suspension are a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers, respectively. Get a 16-inch alloy wheel with the 130/90 tyre at the front and the 150/80 tyre at the rear with the double-channel anti-locking braking system to prevent wheel locking for both wheels during sudden braking. It also features Honda Selectable Torque Control to ensure better road grip on slippery roads.
The E-Clutch variant has an electronically controlled clutch system that helps with starts and gear changes without the use of a clutch; it makes smooth take-offs and gear changes. Its length, width, and height are 2,205 mm, 820 mm, and 1,090 mm, respectively, with the wheelbase being 1,490 mm, seat height of 690 mm, ground clearance of 125 mm, and fuel tank capacity of 11.2 litres.
Equipped with a 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke petrol-powered internal combustion engine that is mated with a six-speed manual transmission, whose final drive is a chain drive. The core specifications for this motorcycle are still pending; reports suggest it delivers 29.5 bhp and 27.5 Nm. Its bore and stroke are 76.0 × 63.0 mm, compression ratio is 10.7:1, and fuel injection system is PGM-FI.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India will soon disclose 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing, top speed, and ARAI-certified mileage. This motorcycle is E20 compliant, meaning one can use petrol that has ethanol blending up to 20 per cent. The fuel efficiency in the real world is set to vary from one another depending on the fuel type.
From the brand, the Rebel 300 is the second model under the Rebel family. The one already on sale is the Rebel 500, which costs ex-showroom ₹5.12 lakh; it is powered by a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin petrol-powered ICE with a 6-speed manual gearbox that delivers 45.6 hp power and 43.3 Nm torque.
The newly introduced model in the Rebel lineup sits below the Rebel 500, whose rivals are the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, the Jawa 42 Bobber, and the Yezdi Roadster. The closest among them is the Royal Enfield bike; compared to the same all-new Honda motorcycle, it is ₹23,000 to ₹38,000 costlier, has 63.34 cc less engine displacement, one extra gear, 70 mm less seat height, and a 90 mm longer wheelbase.
A rider looking for a low-seat cruiser, easy city-riding motorcycle, or bike for occasional highway cruising may opt for the newly launched Rebel 300.
