August 2026 is all set to see the launch of three car models, among them two are facelifts with the internal combustion engine powertrain, and one new nameplate as a battery electric vehicle. These models, which will make their debut in the Indian market, are the Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift, Skoda Slavia Facelift, and MG Hector Hawk EV, although the name is yet to be confirmed by the carmaker. Let’s have a closer look at each of the upcoming cars.
Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift
Launch Date: August 14, 2026
Mahindra Auto will introduce the Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift in the Indian market with upgrades and changes inside the cabin and on the exterior. Outside, it will get a redesigned front grill; updated LED headlights, including headlamps and daytime running lights; new alloy wheels; and tweaked taillamps. New exterior colour options are also anticipated. Its test mule has been spotted testing multiple times, which hints at these exterior upgrades.
Inside, it will get a large touchscreen infotainment system similar to the Mahindra Thar ROXX, replacing the one offered with the existing one. The dashboard trim and seat upholstery are also expected to be upgraded for enhancing the cabin aesthetic. It may also see the addition of some smart features such as the Level 2 advanced driving assistant suite, ventilated front seats, and 360-degree camera.
It won’t see any changes in dimensions, powertrain, and underpinning. Set to continue with 2.2-litre mHawk diesel, and 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol internal combustion engine. Both ICEs feature a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. Nothing about its ex-showroom price is confirmed, but it is anticipated to cost between ₹14 lakh and ₹26 lakh.
Skoda Slavia Facelift
Launch Date: August 18, 2026
Skoda Auto India will launch the Skoda Slavia facelift on the scheduled date with many updates. Outside, it is anticipated to have a totally new front grille to make it more appealing and give a distinct look from the outgoing model; both the front and rear bumpers are expected to be upgraded to improve its front-end and rear appearance. Other notable features that it may get in the exterior are tweaked LED headlights and headlamps.
Reports suggest that it will now get a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel; the infotainment system is expected to remain the same. The features that it is highly anticipated to get are ventilated front seats, which keep the occupants cool during hot weather. May also come with a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, and a panoramic sunroof.
Its powertrain is also set to remain the same as the outgoing model, which are 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol and 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol. The former one is currently available with a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission; reports suggest that instead of a six-speed Automatic, the upcoming will get eight-speed torque-converter automatic; and the former one will continue with a 7-speed DSG. Its price is also pending but may be launched with a price between ₹12 lakh and ₹19 lakh.
MG Hector Hawk EV
Launch Date: The actual date is still pending, but various reports confirm that its market launch will take place in August 2026; we are expecting it to happen in the last week.
JSW MG Motors India will launch the pure-electric seven-seater vehicle, the MG Hector Hawk EV, for the domestic market that is set to be based on the Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology. The upcoming all-electric car in India is based on the Wuling Eksion EV, which is available for sale in the Indonesian market from April 22, 2026, with a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.
On the front axle, it has a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a single-speed automatic reduction gearbox, which generates the maximum power of 201 hp and peak torque of 310 Nm. Under the floor, it gets 62.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives the CLTC range of 530 km. A report from Autocar India suggests that the Indian version will run up to 600 km in ideal conditions.
This upcoming electric vehicle under the banner of JSW MG Motors India is set to be positioned against the Mahindra XEV 9S, so we are expecting it to cost around ₹25 lakh. They are yet to confirm if it will get all features and technology that are found in the Wuling Eksion EV or if the Indian variant is coming with a few upgrades and changes meeting the Indian customer need.
