Honda Cars India, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda, launched the Honda ZR-V e:HEV on July 25, 2026, with the ex-showroom price of ₹47.99 lakh. They have started the delivery with the launch. Notably, the model is integrated for the Indian market by importing it as CBU from Japan.
Reportedly, the first two batches for which the order begins with the unveiling have been booked. As the delivery is started, we are expected to see it on the public road in the very near future. Notably, its main rivals in the Indian market are the Nissan X-Trail, Škoda Kodiaq, and Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line.
Platform and powertrain
The ZR-V is based on Honda Architecture and features a front-wheel-drive drivetrain, which is also shared with the 11th-generation Honda Civic. Under the hood, it has a 1,993 cc 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle petrol-powered internal combustion engine and two electric motors; one is a traction motor, and the other is a generator motor. Notably, the ICE and the main electric motor are mated with the electronic continuously variable transmission.

The power output and peak torque of the internal combustion engine are 141 PS and 186 Nm, and the electric motor delivers the power of 184 PS and peak torque of 315 Nm. It generates a 1.05 kWh 72-cell high-voltage battery pack, which supports self-charging via regenerative braking. Its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 7.9 seconds, and top speed is 173 km/h. Its ARAI-certified mileage is 22.8 km/h.
Understructure and exterior

The front and rear suspension of the Honda ZR-V are MacPherson strut and multi-link independent, respectively. It features electric power steering for better steering precision, which makes compact area parking more convenient. Get a ventilated disc for the front wheel and a solid disc for the rear wheels; the key difference between these discs is that the ventilated disc prevents overheating.
It features the Honda logo below the hood, a gloss-black hexagonal grille, L-shaped slim LED DRLs, and integrated headlights. Get a front bumper integrated with air intakes and side air curtains. Other notable features on the exterior are double-toned ORVMs on the front door, dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, mechanical door handles, boomerang-shaped taillamps, and a roof-integrated spoiler.
Space and sizes

Features 5 people seating capacity in a traditional layout of 2-3 with good legroom, headroom, and shoulder so 5 adults can sit comfortably. Behind the second row, it features 380 liters of boot space that helps in carrying small luggage conventionally. Notably, the rear seat is foldable; doing so helps in increasing the boot space to 1,313 liters.
The length, width, and height of the Honda ZR-V are 4,567 mm, 1,840 mm, and 1,621 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2,655 mm, and ground clearance is 180 mm. It has a kerb weight of 1,569 kg, whose turning radius is 5.5 meters. Sits on 18-inch wheels, which wear 225/55 tires.
Features and tech

Inside, it has a three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, under which there’s a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster showing all the driving-related information. The center of the dashboard gets a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for smooth video and audio streaming.
The centrally mounted screen also features Honda Connect connected car technology with over-the-air software updates, which is integrated with the Premium 12-speaker Bose audio system. Other notable features are dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a wireless phone charging pad.
