In July 2026, the Indian automobile market will see the launch of three cars; the dates for the same are now officially confirmed. Renault will introduce the 2026 Kwid on the 3rd of the month, then Nissan is all set to launch the Tekton on the 9th, and then Maruti Suzuki’s 2026 Brezza will make its debut on the 23rd. Let’s have a closer look at each of them.
2026 Renault Kwid
The French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault will make the 2026 Renault Kwid available for sale in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price starting from ₹5 lakh. The carmaker will introduce it to the Indian market with a new front fascia inspired by the global Dacia Spring, Y-shaped LED DRLs, a revised grille, refreshed front and rear bumpers, and a new alloy wheel design.
Inside, it may get a large touchscreen infotainment system and wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital instrument cluster is expected to be upgraded; we may also see upgrades on dashboard design and seating upholstery to enhance aesthetics and comfort. May also get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front disc brakes, and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, it will get the same 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol-powered internal combustion engine that is available with the outgoing model. It generates the power of 67 hp and peak torque of 91 Nm. The transmission options are 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual, and the drivetrain option is only front-wheel drive.
Nissan Tekton
The Nissan Tekton from the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan is expected to be available for sale with an ex-showroom price between ₹11 lakh and ₹20 lakh, positioning it against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. This is a C-segment SUV that is built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B LS architecture, featuring a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.
Outside, it will feature a large V-Motion grille, split LED headlamps for a modern appearance, a full-width taillight creating a wide stance, 18-inch alloy wheels, chunky body cladding, and silver skid plates beneath the bumper. Inside, it may get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Google built-in at the center of the dashboard and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel.
It is most likely to make its debut with two internal combustion engine options, and both are set to be turbocharged petrol-powered. The first one is expected to be a 999 cc, 1.0 liter, three-cylinder delivering the power of 100 hp and torque of 160 Nm, and the second may be 1,332 cc, 1.3 liter, four-cylinder generating the power and torque of 163 and 280 Nm, respectively.
2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza
The Indian automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will introduce the 2026 Maruti Suzuki with a slightly costlier price than the outgoing one, so we are expecting that they will launch the facelift with a price starting from ₹9 lakh, which may go up to ₹14 lakh. This upcoming SUV is all set to get many upgrades and improvements on its exterior and interior, although all details are still pending.
It is highly expected to get sharper LED headlamps and daylight running lights to make it more appealing, and revised front and rear bumpers to enhance its front-end and rear views. The new LED tail lamps and alloy wheel design are also anticipated. The dashboard is set to be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system featuring connected car and wireless connectivity.
Reportedly, the facelifted Brezza is expected to be offered with a 998 cc 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, besides the existing 1,462 cc 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated option; however, the carmaker has yet to confirm that they have planned to do so. If offered, it will feature two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual.
