Haval H9 Launched: Full-Size SUV with Petrol and Diesel, Priced from $23,570
The Chinese automaker Haval, which comes under GWM, has launched the H9, a full-size five-door ladder-frame SUV, on April 28, 2026, with petrol and diesel engines in three and two options, respectively. Engine Specifications
The vehicle that comes with the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine has a power output of 214 hp (160 kW) and peak torque of 380 Nm (280.2 lb-ft). Features an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration. The acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) is 9.2 seconds, the top speed goes up to 200 km/h (125 mph), and fuel efficiency is up to 12 km/l (24 mpg).
On the other hand, the car that features a 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine generates the power of 183 hp (137 kW) and torque of 480 Nm (354 lb-ft). Its transmission is a 9-speed automatic, and it also features an all-wheel drive configuration. It takes 12 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 60 mph), has a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph), and mileage is a maximum of 13 km/L (37 mpg).
Exterior Details

The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 5,070 mm, 1,976 mm, and 1,930 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2850 mm, and ground clearance is 226 mm. Up front, it gets a bold front grille with horizontal slats to add a modern look, round signature LED headlamps for better visibility, LED DRLs, and adaptive headlights to add a premium touch.
On the sides, it has flared wheel arches for ruggedness, large alloy wheels for improved road presence, roof rails to carry load, and traditional door handles for practicality. The rear features a side-opening gate with an external spare wheel for a tough look and LED taillamps with a rugged finish. Gets a modern and chunky bumper with integrated fog lamps.
Interior Highlights

It comes with a seating capacity of 7 people in the configuration of 2-3-2 and has a boot space of 112 liters. Folding the third-row and second-row seats expands the cargo capacity to 791 liters and 1841 liters. The cabin features a double-tone dashboard, on the center of which there’s a 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen for occupant infotainment, also as a control panel; it runs on the Coffee OS 3.
A drive display i.e. digital instrument cluster is also available under the steering wheel that shows all the driving data. The tailgate is electronically powered offering practicality. A 540° camera is also added for the advanced vehicle surround-view system, and level 2 advanced driving assistant system to ensure stress-free driving and parking.
The interior is now available with a new color option of lava red, which syncs with ambient lighting. Also features a panoramic sunroof. The front and second row seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage. Notably, both driver and front passenger seats are electronically adjustable. Other notable features are three-zone climate control for all rows, rear AC vents, and USB charging ports.
