With the 350cc engine option, now both KTM’s Duke and Adventure are available under the 18% GST cap, making them more affordable for riders looking for performance bikes. Compared to the 390cc variants, the 350cc ones are available at a cheaper cost; the price difference between them is around 62,000 rupees.
With the launch of the KTM 350 Duke and Adventure, they are available for sale. Soon both variants will arrive in dealerships, and buyers who have to have one can get them. The estimated on-road price in New Delhi for the Duke variant is ₹2.85 lakh, and for the Adventure variant it is ₹3.05 lakh.
Powertrain & Performance
The KTM’s 350 Duke and Adventure both come equipped with a 349.32cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The power output at 8600 rpm is 41.5 PS, and peak torque is 33.5 Nm at 700 rpm for both.
Both feature a six-speed gearbox, chain drive system, and are equipped with fuel injection. The Duke is ideal for street performance as it gives an aggressive and quick riding feel but is also an adventure for touring and off-roading as it has a stable and tractable riding experience.
The acceleration timing for 0-100 km/h for the Duke is 6 seconds and the same for the Adventure is 6.5 seconds; and the top speed goes up to 150 km/h for the Duke but only 145 km/h for the Adventure. The fuel efficiency for the Duke is 30 kmpl, and the same for the Adventure is 28 kmpl.
Brake & Suspension
The KTM’s 350 Duke and Adventure both have disc brakes at the front and rear, which gives strong and quick stopping power. The duke gets single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) for both wheels, but the adventure features double-channel ABS for the front and single-channel ABS for the rear with off-road mode.
The ABS prevents wheel lock so the bike doesn’t skid during sudden braking, but when the off-road mode is enabled, it allows some wheel slip for better control on dirt. The suspension for both 350 cc bikes is the same; it gets USD forks at the front which improve stability and handling and a monoshock at the rear that ensures better comfort and control.
Dimensions
The seat height for the Adventure is 830 mm and for the Duke is 800 mm, which gives a good riding position for riders with the height of 5’4” to 5’8” and 5’8” to 6’0”, respectively. The ground clearance is more adventurous for the Duke to ensure that it can run smoothly on rough terrain; it stands at 230 mm for the adventure and 183 mm for the Duke.
The wheelbase for the Duke is 1354 mm and for the Adventure is 1470 mm, but in terms of kerb weight, the Duke is quite lighter than the Adventure. The duke’s kerb weight is 168 kg, but the adventure’s is 183. The bore and stroke for both are the same; it is 89 × 56.15. Also, the brake’s dimensions are the same: the diameter for the front brake is 320 mm and the rear is 240 mm.
The fuel tank capacity is 14.5 litres for both 350cc bikes; the adventure’s front and rear tyre sizes are 100/90-19 and 130/80-17, respectively, but the Duke’s front tyre measures 110/70-17 and the rear 150/60-17. For reference, in 100/90-19, 100 is the tyre’s width in mm, 90 is the tyre height in % of the width, and 19 is the wheel’s size.
Technology
Both 350cc bikes, the Duke and the Adventure, get a TFT display, which shows speed, gear, fuel, trip, and others. It also features KTM Connect, which supports Bluetooth connectivity for call and navigation. Multiple drive modes are available for both. The Duke features Street, Rain and Track; and the Adventure gets Street, Rain and Off-Road.
