Renault Duster Strong Hybrid Bookings

Renault started the booking for the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160, the model that is equipped with the strong hybrid powertrain. Booking started on October 9, 2026, exactly eight days before the market launch. Drivers across the country who are interested in buying may show their interest by depositing ₹21,000.

One can book either by visiting the nearest dealership or via the brand’s official website. The company says that its ARAI-certified mileage is even higher than Toyota Urban Cruiser Hydrant and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Features 29 kmpl ARAI-certified fuel efficiency.

The Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 mileage is 29 kmpl; it means to run up to 100 km, it will consume 3.45 liters. Its two main rivals, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyder, are offered with a fuel efficiency of 27.97 km/l, which translates to 3.58 liters per kilometer.

Comparatively, the Renault car is 1.03 kmpl more fuel efficient than the Toyota and Maruti Suzuki model. Better mileage means less fuel use, and more range; this is what makes the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 different from the rivals and strengthen its positioning in the segment.

Regarding the real-world fuel economy, nothing is disclosed by any source because it is yet to be tested. Notably, the actual mileage varies depending on driving style, road condition, and other factors.

Gets a 1.8-litre engine, two motors, and an LFP battery pack.

The Renault Duster Hybrid features a 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine, two electric motors, and a 1.4-kilo-watt lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack. The ICE and two e-motors, one traction and the other a starter generator, are placed under the hood; they are mated with an eight-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.

The battery pack is mounted beneath the floor; it supports self-charging via regenerative braking. Since the hybrid system is present on the front part with the engine, the model’s drivetrain is front-wheel-drive. The company says that the engine’s strong E-Tech hybrid system delivers 160 PS of power, but the peak torque is still undisclosed.

The rest may remain the same, and the price is still pending.

The Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 launch is slated for October 17, 2026. The company will unveil all the pending details for this model on the same days by showing the car. Reports suggest that apart from the powertrain and performance, the rest will remain the same.

The rest remains the same as the existing model, meaning the same body shell and overall design and suspension, brakes, and steering system. Even though the wheels and tires for this upcoming model are expected to be familiar. Interior features are also expected to be retained for existing models.

The length, width, and height are 4,346 mm, 1,815 mm, and 1,701 mm, respectively, with the wheelbase of 2,657 mm and ground clearance of 212 mm, most likely to continue, as no dimensional changes are announced by the carmaker. If there won’t be any dimensional changes, the boot space of 584 liters is certain behind the rear seats.

Currently, the Renault Duster is available with two turbocharged petrol-powered ICEs, 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter. They are available for sale with the ex-showroom price of 10.49 lakh rupees and ₹18.49 lakh. For the upcoming model, the price will be announced at the launch; reports suggest it to be around ₹22 lakh and ₹25 lakh.
