After launching the Mahindra Thar OG, Mahindra Auto is now preparing to launch the Mahindra Thar Roxx OG off-roader SUV. Recently this upcoming five-door Thar has been spotted testing on public roads with camo around the front bumper and alloy wheels. The spied images floating on the internet have revealed many details, including the design and suspension setup.
New alloy wheels introduced.
The spied images of Mahindra Thar Roxx OG have revealed that this upcoming car is equipped with the alloy wheels that we get to see on the recently launched three-door Thar. It’s a clear hint that the model will have a more stunning side look than the existing model.
Sitting on the all-new alloy wheels further enhances its road presence and gives better grip. Apart from the new wheel setup, other exterior designs are quite familiar. The circular LED headlights, rugged wheel arch cladding, and front-door-mounted outside rearview mirror still continue.
Suspension gets upgraded.
One of the recently surfaced spy shots of the upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx OG has confirmed that even the suspension setup has been upgraded with the DaVinci setup. Notably, Mahindra Auto has designed this suspension specially for their off-roaders to ensure better ride comfort and vehicle stability over rough roads.
Reportedly, the braking step will continue. It means the solid disc brake will be available on alloy wheels, ensuring powerful braking with better heat dispersion. Reports also suggest the retention of various braking features such as the anti-locking braking system, electric brake distribution, and others.
The powertrain will continue.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx OG will have the same powertrain that is offered for the existing version. Meaning the two turbocharged internal combustion engine options, 2.0-liter petrol-powered and 2.2-liter diesel-powered, will continue.
The 6-speed MT and 6-speed torque-converter AT are gearbox options that will also be retained for both ICEs. Depending on the transmission, their performance varies; the same is tabulated below.

Note that the petro-engine is available only with a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain, but the diesel one is also offered with all-wheel-drive. Reports suggest the 0 to 100 kmph acceleration timing, fuel efficiency, and top speed will also remain the same as the existing version of the five-door Mahindra Thar.
Same features and dimensions.
The length, width, and height of the Mahindra Thar Roxx OG are set to be 4,428 mm, 1,870 mm, and 1,923 mm, respectively, because they are going to be the same as the existing model. Even its wheelbase of 2,850 mm and ground clearance of 226 mm will continue.
Launch date expectations.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx OG launch date is still pending. The Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra Auto has recently launched the OG version for the three-door vehicle. Reports suggest that the launch for this upcoming model will take place around late 2026.
Like the launch timeline, the ex-showroom price is still pending. The existing five-door Thar cost between ₹12.52 lakh and ₹23.52 lakh. It is certain that the OG version price will be little more than the existing one, but nothing is reported regarding the actual amount that may be increased.
