The 2027 Nissan Tekton is a mid-size SUV, which is available for sale with the starting ex-showroom price of ₹10.49 lakh. The 7-seater version of the same is coming soon as a C-segment sport utility vehicle. The three-row version has been spotted testing on public roads.
The sightings have confirmed that its launch will take place in the near future; the spy shots surfaced online have already revealed the many details. Let’s have a closer look at this upcoming vehicle.
Longer body than the 5-seater version.
The upcoming 7-seater Nissan Tekton looks to be slightly longer than the existing 5-seater version. Details regarding width and height are not yet confirmed, but reports say that these have also been increased. These spied images also reveal that the rear overhang compared to the five-seater version has been stretched a little to add a third row.

Coming in the form of a 7-seater means that the seating layout will be 2-3-2 people; that is, only two people can sit in the third row. It is not yet confirmed whether the two seats in the third row will be able to accommodate adults comfortably or not, because most of the C-segment SUVs have two seats in the second row for children and pets.
One of the spied images reveals that the upcoming seven-seater Nissan car sits on 18-inch alloy wheels and wears 225/60 tires. Notably, the existing 5-seater also comes with 18-inch on the top variants but features 225/55 tires.

Similar wheelbase likely.
Despite the increase in size, reports suggest the wheelbase should stay around 2,657 mm. Other details that we get to know are the longer rear quarter panel and larger rear-quarter glass improving visibility and the feeling of space for third-row passengers, and now the roofline is a little flatter towards the rear to ensure ample headroom for the third-row occupants.
The inverted L-shaped LED daylight running light that brackets the main headlamp is the same as the five-seater version. A pillar-mounted outside rearview mirror, geometrical wheel arches, and mechanical door handles are details that have been revealed via the spy shots.
Reports suggest that the front fascia will be a totally different design from the five-seater version. On the front end it will have a 2 mm wave radar that will further enhance ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistant System) capabilities. The spy shots have also revealed that at the rear this upcoming seven-seater will have boomrang-style taillights.
What else we know about it?
Besides the details that emerged through the 7-seater Nissan Tekton sport utility vehicle spy shots, nothing else has been disclosed. As per reports, many features and technologies for this upcoming model will be retained from the existing five-seater Nissan Tekton SUV.
The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, wireless smartphone charging pad, 48-color ambient lighting, and Arkamys 3D surround sound system are among the features that will be introduced with this model.
The powertrain may remain the same.
The Nissan Tekton, with a seating capacity of 7 people, will have the same powertrain that is offered with the five-seater version. Two turbo-petrol ICEs are anticipated to be offered: 1.3-liter 4-cylinder and 1.0-liter 3-cylinder. In the five-seater version, the former one has only a six-speed manual, and the latter also has a six-speed wet double-clutch.
Power output and peak torque may remain 100 PS and 166 Nm, respectively, for the 1.0-liter engine option; the same for the 1.3-liter engine is expected to be 163 PS and 280 Nm. The mileage for the existing model with a 1.0-liter engine is 19.4 kmpl, but the same for a 1.3-liter option is 17.8 kmpl with the MT and 18.5 liters with the DCT.
